At SBCS, Upper School includes middle and high school (6th-12th) grades.
We are proud of the academic and extra-curricular programs that we offer to students in our upper school. At Salem, we strive to provide students with a well-rounded education in a Christian atmosphere. To accomplish this goal, our faculty mentors students each day, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their academic, social, and spiritual life. Each high school student is issued a Chromebook to assist with academic studies.
As a college-prep high school, students may choose from three different graduation tracks which include Honors, AP, and Dual-Enrollment at Forsyth Technical Community College.
Honors
Regular high school courses taught at a faster and more
in-depth pace
AP
Take high school courses that
can transfer as a college credit
Outside of the classroom, high school students have the opportunity to participate in clubs such as the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Delta Theta Chi service club. Students also attend overnight field trips to Charleston, SC; Washington, D.C.; and Orlando, FL.
